Morningside of Fullerton has been named one of America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) for 2026 by Newsweek in partnership with Statista. This honor places our community in the top tier of just 330 communities nationwide and among a select few in Orange County.
The Newsweek rankings are based on a rigorous methodology conducted by Statista that evaluates CCRCs nationwide across four key pillars: reputation, visitor satisfaction, accreditation, and online reviews. Feedback from residents, families, and industry professionals played a critical role in determining this year’s honorees.
For older adults and their families, this recognition offers more than prestige; it provides reassurance.
“Choosing where to call home at this stage of life is deeply personal,” said Executive Director Chris Oakeson. “We’re honored that this recognition reflects the experiences of our residents and families. For 35 years, Morningside has been part of the fabric of the Fullerton community. We’ve seen generations of local families choose Morningside, and that trust means everything to us. It’s what drives our team to continue delivering a friendly environment that feels more like family.”
As a Life Plan community, residents have convenient priority access to long-term care at the adjacent health center, Park Vista Health Center, if ever needed. For many families, that peace of mind is one of the most valuable aspects of choosing a CCRC like Morningside.
Located on 33 acres of park-like grounds in Orange County, California, Morningside is an ideal setting for seniors and their families. We’re located near Brea Mall, the Fullerton Arboretum, local golf courses, and is easily accessible to Fullerton trails. On-site, residents enjoy a wide range of life enrichment activities, fitness and cultural programs, and restaurant-style dining.
“As we look ahead to the future, we remain committed to building on this legacy,” said Oakeson. “We will continue to serve current and future residents with the same dedication that has defined us for more than three decades.”
